Year 9 students have been learning a new language this Spring Term, as we move towards a new curriculum structure for Key Stage 4.

From September 2009, Cottingham High students will have an even wider range of option choices than before. Some students will follow a Pathway that will allow them to gain one of the new Diploma qualifications. Others will follow a Pathway that will give them an opportunity to take part in a Young Apprenticeship Programme in either Motor Vehicle, Engineering or Construction. Most will stay with three GCSE options, plus their core studies.

In the future, the Government aims to give all young people at 14 a choice of 17 different Diploma subjects.
