Safeguarding

The health, safety and wellbeing of our students is paramount. We work with parents, carers and the wider community to protect and support them throughout their time with us.

An open, caring and supportive environment

We strive to make sure our school is a safe, honest and open place for all our pupils. We are always here to listen and talk about your and your child’s fears, worries and concerns.

Every child matters

We are here to help all our students to become successful learners, confident individuals and responsible members of society. We aim to provide an environment where they can:

Be healthy
Stay safe
Enjoy and achieve
Make a positive contribution
Achieve economic wellbeing
Our Child Protection Policy
There are four main elements to our Child Protection Policy:

Prevention

We promote a positive school atmosphere and provide pastoral support to children and young people through safe and appropriate working practices.

Protection

We follow agreed procedures and make sure our staff are fully trained and supported to respond appropriately and sensitively to child protection concerns.

Support

We offer support, advice and guidance to students and staff in situations where young people may have been abused.

Collaboration

We work together with all our young people, parents and agencies to encourage safeguarding and wellbeing for all our students.

Our Child Protection Officer is Miss Sarah Hill

If you need to discuss concerns regarding your child or another student please contact her via the school office.

She has put together a list of links and helplines to some of the many organisations that offer advice and support to both students and their parents.
