Year 8 High Starters were involved in the Royal Shakespeare Live Schools’ Broadcast. The RSC live streamed one of Shakespeare’s greatest comedies: The Tempest. The students joined hundreds of other schools around the country as they logged on to watch a live performance and tweeted their questions to the actors.
Students had previously studied Shakespeare’s tale of the betrayal of Prospero; the bookish Duke of Milan who uses magic to reclaim what’s his from his brother Antonio. It was a fantastic opportunity to see the bard’s work come to life using today’s most advanced technology in a bold reimagining of Shakespeare’s magical play, creating an unforgettable theatrical experience.
