Students were celebrating at Cottingham High School today, as they achieved some excellent GCSE results.
57% of pupils attained the Gold Standard of 5 GCSEs at A*- C including English and Mathematics, with 10% attaining either an A or A*in both English and Mathematics. 35% of students achieved the English Baccalaureate - well above national averages.
Mr Scott Ratheram, Headteacher, said, ‘I am delighted that so many students have performed so well this summer. We look forward to the majority of our Y11 students joining us on the next step of their educational journey in our sixth form. On a number of measures these results are an improvement upon last year and we are confident that our upward trend will continue in future years.'
