New Headteacher's Welcome

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Cottingham High School and Sixth Form College.

As a Headteacher joining the school in January 2024, I am excited to take the school on the next step of its journey, and work with our amazing staff in driving the highest of expectations and consistent standards within the daily lives of our young people.

Our students are encouraged and supported to be polite, respectful and articulate, and we are constantly working to shape the next generation of innovators and leaders.

We are a school that is rooted in our community and driven by a desire to ensure that every member of our school community can Believe, Achieve and Succeed.

Whilst these words could be tokenistic, we aim for them to be truly lived and breathed in everything that we do. It is our commitment to ensure that every single student can achieve their goals with outcomes that allow them to pursue their dreams.

At Cottingham High School we do not believe that your future success is set in stone. We are a school with a central focus on ensuring that every member of our community is supported to Believe, Achieve and Succeed in becoming an expert in their chosen field. We develop this with repeated practice of our expectations and values.  We support each other with calm, settled classrooms that are led by expert staff who have a passion for their subject. All members of Cottingham High School aim to consistently show hard work, respect and pride.

We are what we repeatedly do. We do what we say we do.

We pride ourselves on adding value to the lives of our students, and we welcome and accept all. Whether it be for a visit to see the school in action, to support your child in their educational journey, or as part of the chance to support us in the daily running of the school, we welcome you to our school and look forward to hearing about your experience with us.
