During the course of Key Stage 3, students embark on a series of exciting and innovative Media Arts projects. Each project revolves around a main topic, for example Year 7 explore ‘Emotions’, Year 8 ‘Issues’ and Year 9 ‘Gothic Horror’.
All involve the production of written and visual work in individual subjects, which are combined using a range of media technologies to produce digital outcomes. Students can also take advantage of a multitude of cross-curricular opportunities, and the continued expansion of the curriculum will further enhance their learning.
The availability of Change School funding will mean that the knowledge and skills of a range of creative practitioners will be on hand to complement the existing curriculum. This will be piloted during Creative Learning Week in June, when it is hoped that students will use existing and new skills to produce even more creative and innovative multimedia outcomes.
