National Healthy Schools Award

National Healthy Schools Award

In the Summer Term of 2007 the school was awarded National Healthy School Status with full accreditation until the summer of 2010. The school was also subsequently successfully moderated against its own judgements early in 2008 as part of a random moderation process. 10% of schools are randomly moderated on a national basis.

The National Healthy Schools Award requires schools to be assessed against four criteria:-

• PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education including SRE and Drug Education)
• Healthy Eating
• Physical Activity
• Emotional Health and Well Being
