Health Clinic

The Health Clinic based in HS3 is currently open two lunchtimes a week for our students to access a confidential advisory service pertaining to health matters. The Health Clinic is open on Tuesday and Friday lunchtimes and is staffed by the School Nurse, Mrs Dyer, Health Visitors, Youth Workers, Connexions and Pastoral Assistants.

Our aim for the Health Clinic is to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people and to offer advice and guidance over a range of health matters such as sexual health, obesity, mental health, personal hygiene, anxiety, low self esteem, assertiveness etc.

Part of the remit of the clinic is to offer sexual health services. Some forms of contraception e.g. condoms are distributed and the clinic also offers the facilities for pregnancy and chlamydia testing.

It is important to stress that the Health Clinic complements our PSHCEE programme and Pastoral Support Teams and does not replace them.

SRE, Drugs Education, Healthy Lifestyle etc are all taught in PSHCEE, RE, Humanities and indeed across the curriculum.

Please click on the link below to watch a presentation about the Health Clinic.

Should you wish to discuss any issues arising from this page please contact Mr Wilkinson, Assistant Headteacher.

The link governor is Mrs A Rawling.
