Students Emmanuel Chiweshe and Jordan Carroll have been named runners-up in the 15-19 category of Film Education’s Be Creative: Respect Creativity national competition.

The judges pronounced that Jordan and Emmanuel’s campaign was of a very high standard, and praised the film for its skilful, rhythmic editing, great choice of footage and original soundtrack. Jordan and Emmanuel each won a digital SLR camera.

In addition, Emmanuel, who has produced albums for himself and for other local musicians, was recently nominated for his outstanding contribution to the Arts in the first Hull Spotlight Awards. The nomination gave Emmanuel the opportunity to meet the Queen and Prince Philip during their recent visit to Hull.
