Performances of The Crucible received rapturous applause at the end of April, following extensive rehearsals by the cast of 24 students and staff. Arthur Miller’s play, set in Salem, Massachusetts, in 1692, was written during the McCarthy witch-hunt, and still has great relevance today.
Another story that, sadly, is still relevant today is West Side Story, which our students are performing from 6th July. Based on Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet, the musical explores dark themes of gang violence and racism in 1950s New York.
