Level 3 BTEC National Award in Media Production (Single and Double Award)
Level 3 BTEC National Award in Media Production (Film and Television) is a vocational course in which you investigate film and television in 7 units. The course will also give you an insight into the way the media industry works.
In year 1, you will produce a blockbuster film trailer and write and film a pilot episode of a horror television series.
In Year 2, you will produce a short film for a film festival and a short promotional film for a charity.
The course can lead to a wide range of Media Studies and Production courses at Further Education Colleges and University. There are many new degrees in new media. People who do this course can go on to become directors, producers or camera operators. You might even follow in Wallace and Gromit creator Nick Park’s footsteps and get an Oscar for your work.
