This is a one year full time course. CACHE is the leading provider of nationally recognised qualifications in early years care and education. It is dedicated to raising the professional standards of children and young people’s care and education. During the course you attend two different work placements (e.g. a primary school, a day nursery or supporting students within Cottingham High School).

You will learn about children at different stages in their growth and development, how to care for and educate them, how to work with parents, carers and other professionals.

This qualification could give you the opportunity to attend a local college and take the NVQ Level 3 qualification which could lead you onto University and take a degree in a health, social or early years subject. This qualification will give you a recognised qualification and will lead you into employment where you could work with children. Jobs include nursery worker, nursery manager, child psychologist, dietician, paediatrician, play worker, dental hygienist, health visitor, speech therapist etc.
