Geography

The course is made up of 3 main elements:

Physical Geography – Rivers, flooding & management, coastal environments. Human Geography – Population change and energy issues. Geographical Skills – Geographical fieldwork, collecting data, processing it and drawing conclusions. We will also learn how to use prior data to test theories and make future plans.

You will learn how both nature and people help shape the planet we live on, and will discover how people’s actions can both benefit and cause damage to our environment and lives. Investigation skills are developed and conclusions are drawn.

Geography is very well respected by future employers and educational establishments. It gives you numerical and literacy skills and shows you are able to work independently. Careers include environmental science, town planning, engineering, tourism, international business and of course geographical based careers.
