If you study English Language you will never look at language in the same way again! You will learn how to analyse texts in a variety of different ways; to see how language is powerful, ever changing and is basically what makes us human. You will use what you learn to produce your own texts. You will not study poetry, novels or plays in English Language. For some this is a draw-back, for others not.
