This course is about applying your Business Studies knowledge to the theoretical practices, by studying what existing businesses do and then producing coursework around your findings. The Applied Business course covers all aspects of business. You will have the opportunity to learn about various aspects of business, and put this knowledge into practice, rather than just learning about the subject in theory only. Two thirds of the course is assessed by coursework and one third is assessed by an examination. There is a single and double award available.

Single Award – You will have 5 hours of contact time per week with your teachers, as well as an expectation that you should be completing a minimum of 2 hours of coursework preparation at home.

Double Award – You will have 10 hours of contact time per week with your teachers, as well as an expectation that you should be completing a minimum of 4 hours of coursework preparation at home.
At University past students have studied law, marketing, human resources, art and design etc. Full time employment and apprentice opportunities, past students gained employment in accountancy, sales, travel agents at various Universities.
